Village of Bellevue, Wisconsin - A Great Place To Grow!

Biography: Joel was hired by the Village of Bellevue in March 2008. Previously, he served as the Senior Program Director for the Green Bay YMCA East Side Branch. In addition, he has served as a Recreation Supervisor for both the City of Green Bay and City of Eau Claire. Joel received his Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and is a Certified Park and Recreation Professional through the National Recreation and Parks Association. Joel is currently pursuing a MBA degree from Concordia University.

Job Duties: As the Leisure Services Director, Joel is responsible for overseeing, directing, and evaluating the programs and operations of the Leisure Services Department, which include: park planning, operations and maintenance; community recreation programs & events for youth, adults and seniors; urban forestry planning, operations and maintenance.

Joel is also responsible for the village's external communications, including the village newsletter, e-news brief, social media and website.
