The Village of Bellevue contracts its law enforcement services from the Brown County Sheriffs Department. This allows for top quailty police services at an efficient rate for citizens.
The Village's main patrol station is located at the Public Safety Building / Village Hall in conjunction with the Fire Department. However, this is not a walk-in police station, and those who require non-emergency assistance should contact the Brown County Sheriffs Department at (920) 448-4200.

The Village of Bellevue currently has an ordinance in place aimed at protecting the health and safety of children in the Village from the risk that sexual offenders convicted of an offense against a child may re-offend in locations close to where children congregate.
The ordinance is located in the Village's Municipal Code Chapter 11.09 Public Health - Sexual Offender Restrictions.
As part of Municipal Code Chapter 11.09, an official map is maintained by the Village, showing Restricted Zones designated in Green and no Loitering Zones designated in Blue. The Village updates the Restricted Zone Map annually to reflect changes. The map is available at the Village office or by downloading the following link:

The Brown County Sheriff's Department offers county residents the opportunity to properly discard prescription drugs at their new office, 2464 Development Drive. Drop-off times are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30pm to 2:00pm.
Accepted materials include pills, liquids, salves, powders, inhalers and pet meds. No sharps or biological material. Collections are for Brown County Residents only and offered at no cost to participants.
Waste pharmaceuticals are a far reaching issue. These unused drugs present opportunities for environmental contamination, drug abuse and accidental poisonings. Proper disposal through collection events is necessary to insure the drugs are completely destroyed by incineration. Taking the easy way out and simply throwing your unused medications in the trash or flushing down the drain can lead to significant environmental problems.
By March 31st of each year, all dog owners must register their animal with the Village of Bellevue. Dog licenses require proof the animal has been given its rabies shot.
The Village of Bellevue has created a feral cat trap, neuter, and return (TNR) program in conjunction with Cats Anonymous. The TNR program is a humane way to control the feral cat population. In this program, cats are humanely trapped, spayed/neutered, given a rabies shot and returned to their original location under the care of an individual called a caretaker. Feral cats that have been spayed or neutered have a cropped ear like the cat pictured at left.
If you are caring for a feral/semi-feral, outdoor or barn cat and would like to participate in the TNR program, please contact the Animal Control/Humane Officer, Monica Hoff at the phone number listed below. The veterinarians at Cats Anonymous are volunteer veterinarians. To assist in covering the cost of medicine and anesthetics, Cats Anonymous suggests, but does not require, a $50 donation for cats participating in the TNR program.
Monica Hoff is the Village's Animal Control/Humane Officer. She can be contacted by calling (920) 819-6709.
If you notice a stray or wild animal that is out of control and causing harm to persons or property, please contact Ms. Monica Hoff immediately. If she is unavailable, contact the Brown County Sheriff department at (920) 391-7450.
